For help with anxiety, depression, infertility, migraines, relationships

working towards inner peace and a sense of wellbeing

My name is Mandy Thornton. I trained as a counsellor in the 1990's and then as an Australian Bush Flower Essence Practitioner in 2002. In 2004 I started training as a body psychotherapist which took 5 years to get to the certificate stage. This is an in depth training which has given me a detailed insight into human behaviour, our emotional development and what needs to happen for us to grow and change. I have been working with supporting people for 20 years now and have always been interested in what other people have to say. I listen with my heart and soul as well as my ears! I always feel honoured when someone chooses me to tell their story to, and aim to give them the space they need to be able to do just that. The emphasis of my work is to help clients to move toward health, vitality and fulfilment, learning how to work with and heal symptoms we don't understand and emotions we can feel overwhelmed by

I work with clients with varying problems, aiming for all sorts of different things, though this can usually be summed up as 'working towards emotional and physical health and well being'

I offer one-to one sessions, or I can run group sessions in the workplace.

Some of the most common areas people want to work with are depression, anxiety, IBS, relationship difficulties. Some also want to look at problems with infertility or migraines.

Counselling & Therapy provides a holding environment in which the client and I can explore together the client's important relationships, issues and unhelpful behaviour patterns, working towards bringing joy, pleasure and a sense of wholeness. I work with a view to the client bringing more choice into how he or she lives his or her life. Working in a deeply receptive way I aim to create an atmosphere of safety and trust in which the client and I journey together. Sometimes the use of Australian Bush Flower Essences may be offered, sometimes it's just a question of weekly support.sessions.
